measi's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- snow piles It snowed all day today-- by the time it ended around 7 p.m., we had somewhere between 13-16 inches on the ground here in Randolph. That was, of course, covering the snow that was already here (most of which had melted off from rain earlier this week). Rather than that horrible brown color, everything's now plastered white again. It looks pretty. For now, anyway. Although it's been a very long month of snow-- we've had snow on the ground for nearly a month straight now because it's been so cold that nothing has melted. It's not supposed to get much above freezing this weekend, and yet more snow (supposedly a bigger storm) is in the forecast for Monday. Ah... winter... The office closed early at 2 p.m. today because the driving conditions were getting pretty rough. I had to wait, though, until I received the plane itinerary for one of our designers... and at 3:30, it still hadn't arrived (I made the plans at 10 a.m!). I finally broke down and called them, and of course within moments of hanging up the phone, the email arrived. So I handed it to Christine, said goodnight, and got on the road around 3:45 to join the hordes of people already going down I-95. About 5:15, I finally pulled into our apartment complex's driveway. Yep-- a whopping hour and a half to go SIXTEEN MILES. Eesh. Erich came home about 45 minutes later. We went out for dinner, and are now having a relaxing evening at home. I'm so glad it's Friday... I can't wait to sleep in tomorrow. *yawn* 8:35 p.m. - 07 February 2003 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
