measi's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mulling thoughts I fly to Montana on Sunday evening. I realized that this morning. And I haven't done a single bit of Christmas shopping. *sigh* I guess I know what I'm doing Thursday night, if I haven't fallen over dead already from movie watching. Part of the reason I haven't gone shopping is Fizzy's illness last week. She's still not completely better--- she's still puking a bit (although she seems to be keeping food down). It's not nearly as bad as it was before, but just the same I'm worried sick about her. I just have this fear that she's going to relapse and the vet is going to tell me that there's nothing they can do for her. Her energy has been lower than normal, but her personality is just as friendly as ever. She's not romping a lot, though. That concerns me. Erich's also worried, although I think he's probably thinking I'm over-reacting with her a bit. Perhaps I am. But I remember how I ignored Kashan's cough when I was just about to start my sophomore year of college. Three weeks into school, my dad called me and told me Kashan had died when they brought him to the vet to be checked out. The "what if I had done XXX" went through my mind for the next year or so. I felt awful. Kashan was twelve years old-- not too bad for an indoor/outdoor cat. If Fizzy died at less than two years old, I'd just feel horrible with myself. I just don't know what else I can do for her, particularly when the vet said they couldn't figure out what was wrong. Like Erich, I'm wondering why I'm taking her to a vet then-- aren't they supposed to figure out what's wrong with her? *sigh* I'm just hoping it's a nasty hairball, and that the hairball goop medicine will help her.
