All I have to say is that it gets annoying like hell when people in a hobby that you've loved since childhood make your life a living hell. Just because some people are friends with a penpal doesn't mean that everyone has had a cheery encounter with said penpal. And said penpal is sicking her friends on me via email because I deny her admittance to my swapping lists because I don't trust her is just bullshit and petty.
