You say poh-tay-toh, I say poh-tah-toh...

TranceJen had this on her journal... I did a shorter version a couple weeks ago over on live journal, so what the hell. :)

WHAT DO YOU CALL...

The covered area outside a house where people sit in the evening: a porch (if attached to the house) or a gazebo (if separate)

Carbonated, sweetened, non-alcoholic beverages: POP. :) I do use soda much more these days, but it will always be a pop machine. Never, ever a soda machine.

Would you say "Are you coming with?" as a full sentence, to mean "Are you coming with us?" *looks sheepish* All the time-- and I get teased for it all the time. It's definitely a Montana thing.

Would you say "where are you at?" to mean "where are you?" Not that I'm aware of.

Modals are words like "can," "could," "might," "ought to," and so on. Can you use more than one modal at a time? (e.g., "I might could do that" to mean "I might be able to do that"; or "I used to could do that" to mean "I used to be able to do that") No.
