measi's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- back to the grind... After the three day weekend, it's absolutely frigid in this office. I realize that they don't need to keep the heat all the way up on the weekends, but really folks... it didn't need to drop this low. I have a heavy sweater, am drinking hot chai, and am a cold-preferring person. But when my fingers are in pain from the cold, it's too cold in here. *shiver* I wish I had my comforter to curl up in. That would make it nice and comfy. One of my more psycho co-workers is bitching with her bank on the phone... again. This woman always seems to be yelling at someone on the phone. The one thing I'm noticing about this morning is that her swearing is at a lower level. Perhaps it's just because it's morning. I don't know. I get so sick of hearing her yelling at people, or growling at them in an extremely ominous tone. It's all personal affairs b.s., and really shouldn't be handled in an open space anyway-- much less the office, but she just sits there and does it, without any regard to the fact that there are people sitting right next to her who have to listen to every word because it's utterly impossible to tune it out. Every couple of minutes, I can hear someone from another cubicle sighing because they want her to shut up. We've even asked her. And she apologizes, but then does it again the next day. Mental case, that one. I forgot my CD's to crank in the computer. Damn. Ah well, I'll live. Hopefully it won't be a crazy sort of day today, and I can be productive.
