measi's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Attempting to tame \"The Beast\" I've discovered in the year and a half that I've lived in a one-room studio apartment that unless I had absolutely no belongings, there is no physical way to make a studio apartment appear uncluttered. Unfortunately, I not only HAVE belongings... I have a plethora of them. I'm a friggin' packrat in many regards, and it's getting to the point that I literally HAVE no more place to put things, other than in the center of my already tiny floor space. My studio apartment drives me nuts. Over the past few weeks, I've nicknamed my apartment "The Beast," which is not to be confused with "The Fluff" who is the living contributor to at least the hair ground into the carpeted layer of The Beast, as well as dry food being scattered across the small linoleum of my kitchenette. This weekend, I will again attempt to tame The Beast. Realistically, I'll barely make a dent. But I'm praying to the Goddess of Cleanliness (who has laughed her ass off at me for the last 24 years or so since I was able to physically carry things for more than a couple feet) to assist me in this endeavor, and maybe actually get something done to make me feel somewhat productive. Tonight's part of the project? Penpal letters and swaps. Oh yes. We WILL get through some of this paper stash of letters, friendship books, and swapping supplies. I will at least process that disaster through. So if you hear Internet screams of terror over the next couple days, it's probably me getting attacked by some tendrill of The Beast.
