measi's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lessons I learned a long time ago (but conveniently forgot last night) Important safety tips about going out drinking, Egon: 1) Tequilla doesn't sit well with me. It makes me queasy. 2) It's a bad idea to start drinking when you've had a stressful couple weeks at work. 3) It's a bad idea to drink on a night where you have to get up to work the next morning. Throw all three of those into the pot for an evening, and forget about the repercussions... I had a great time last night with Tan in downtown Boston at the pseudo-dive cantina called Fajitas 'n Ritas. They serve 'Ritas by way of the metric system-- by the liter. Between the two of us, we had two liters. And oh, are they good. Especially frozen raspberry ones, where you forget that there is tequilla in there. I was hosed the moment I went into that place. Mexican food, beer, 'ritas? And cheap access to encouraged graffiti on the restaurant walls? Ah yes, 'tis a fine place to destress after work, no? Muy bueo, seor I didn't have a headache this morning, although the sun was a bit painful as I went outside to wait for Roberto to pick me up. But the world was spinning a bit. It's three hours later, and it's still spinning. Kids, learn from this sorry lot... don't torture yourself with midweek drinking. And if you do, for Chrissake, call in sick the next day. What was that about one tequilla, two tequilla, three tequilla, floor? Ugh. *thuds head on desk* 11:47 a.m. - 7 March 2002 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
