measi's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- That didn't take long... Uru Live is already no more. The mechanics of keeping it as an online multiplayer were just too difficult and money-draining... so the content will be re-issued as a single player game with expansions. It's disappointing because meeting people online was quite cool-- but at the same time, I can understand the problems because Cyan's quality of graphics and detail are pretty taxing on even the best computers. They don't want to release a shitty product, and Uru Live is just far too buggy to continue as-is. So I'm sad, but also excited to see that they're not scrapping Uru completely-- just finding a better alternative to what they're able to currently provide. *sigh* Oh well... at least they'll be releasing the material for single-player enjoyment. I'll have to resort to the old-fashioned forum messages for community. The idea of keeping a yahoo messenger or IRC channel open for those who wanted to talk to each other was an idea as well... we'll see. ~~~~~~~ Measi dot Net is live-- it's not complete, but I have the main page up, and the easiest pages to transfer over-- the fanfic-- so far. I'm a bit concerned about the black text against the background. If anyone has a few moments, please swing by and let me know how it's looking on your browser (and please specify what operating system and browser you're using). I'm debating switching the text colors around-- using the light blue (from the active links) or matching the green in the graphics for the actual text, and then keeping the links yellow (that turn to black) if it's too difficult to read as-is. Anyway-- any insight is appreciated... I definitely want this site to be readable in the off-chance that someone reads it. *grin* ~~~~~~~ gotta run... tons of work.
